Help to ensure your voice is heard, that you and your colleagues are recognized for your work and leadership, and that your practice area is represented by taking part in one or more of these open calls—for participants, nominations, presentations, and exemplary projects.

Call for Presentations for the ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture
Deadline: Wednesday, January 23, 2019, 11:59 p.m. PST

The conference education program provides professional development opportunities that address the diversity of practice types and cross-sector collaborations most relevant to the practice of landscape architecture today. If you are interested in presenting and sharing your knowledge with the landscape architecture profession, please submit a proposal through our online system. ASLA members should log in to the online system using their unique ASLA ID and password.

  • 60- or 75-Minute Education Session
  • 90-Minute Education Session
  • Professional Practice Network (PPN) Education Session
  • Deep Dive Session
  • Field Session

ASLA Diversity Summit Call for Letters of Interest
Deadline: Friday, January 25, 2019

The Summit welcomes landscape architects from diverse backgrounds to engage in critical, thoughtful, and challenging dialogues to inform how the Society and its members can create an inclusive and equitable community of landscape architecture professionals.

If you are a landscape architecture professional of color in the United States with at least two years of professional experience and are interested in applying, please complete the 2019 ASLA Diversity Summer Call for Letters of Interest. The following documentation is required:

  • Resume (two pages maximum)
  • One Letter of Recommendation
  • Letter of Interest (750-word maximum)

Council of Fellows Nominations
Deadline: Thursday, January 31, 2019, 11:59 p.m. PST

Fellowship is among the highest honors the ASLA bestows on members and recognizes the contributions of these individuals to their profession and society at large based on their works, leadership and management, knowledge, and service. The designation of Fellow is conferred on individuals in recognition of exceptional accomplishments over a sustained period of time.

Individuals considered for this distinction must be full members of ASLA in good standing for at least ten years and must be recommended to the Council of Fellows by the Executive Committee of their local chapter, the Executive Committee of the ASLA, or the Executive Committee of the Council of Fellows.

Profiles of recent inductees into the Council of Fellows may be viewed online: 2018, 2017, 2016, 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012.
